What is the Mustang Fund?
The Mustang Fund, an affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF), is a nonprofit organization led by Montevideo parents and school staff who believe our students deserve every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
We raise money to provide essential programs, services, and resources at Montevideo Elementary that public funding alone does not fully cover.
In simple terms: when you support the Mustang Fund, you are helping put additional resources directly into our school and classrooms.
💙 Where Does Your Money Go?
100% of your donations benefit Montevideo students.
Your contributions help fund people and programs that our students interact with throughout the school day, including:
👩🏫 In-Class Paraeducators
Additional classroom support that helps teachers provide small-group and 1:1 instruction and gives students more individualized attention.
📚 Math & Reading Instructional Assistants
Extra support focused on math and reading, helping students strengthen important foundational skills and providing additional opportunities to learn and practice.
📖 Extra Library Hours
Additional library support helps ensure our K–3 students have regular opportunities to visit the library, explore books, and develop a love of reading.
🌈 Rainbow Room Program
Additional hours provide students with greater access to social-emotional support, leadership development, and a welcoming space when they need it.
❤️ Health Clerk & Front Office Support
Funding helps provide essential support for the health, safety, and day-to-day needs of our students and school community.
🎯 Our 2026–2027 Goal: $140,000
This school year, our goal is to raise $140,000 to help fund the programs, services, and resources that directly benefit Montevideo students.
How will we get there? By coming together all year long! 💙🐴
Our fundraising is made up of several opportunities throughout the school year, giving every family a chance to participate in a way that works for them:
📝 Annual Registration Fundraiser
Our biggest opportunity to get a strong start to the school year! During registration, we are aiming to raise $80,000.
We suggest a tax-deductible contribution of:
$400 per student
or
$600 per family with more than one student
or
$600 per family with more than one student
We understand that every family's circumstances are different. If the suggested amount isn't possible, please consider giving whatever amount works for your family. Every dollar helps!
🏃♀️ Tiki Trot Fun Run
Get moving, have fun, and help support Montevideo! Our Tiki Trot Fun Run brings students and families together for a fun-filled fundraising event where every lap and every donation helps us get closer to our goal.
🍿 Wednesday Treat Sales
Popsicles, hot chocolate, chips, cookies… YUM! 😋
Our weekly Wednesday Treat Sales give students the opportunity to enjoy a special treat while helping support their school. All snack proceeds go directly to the Mustang Fund.
🍽️ Dine-Out Nights
Grab dinner and support Montevideo at the same time! Throughout the year, we'll partner with local restaurants for Dine-Out Nights, where a portion of participating sales comes back to the Mustang Fund.
It's an easy way to support our school while enjoying a night off from cooking! 🙌
🎉 Mustang Auction
Our annual Mustang Auction is an exciting evening for our Montevideo community to come together, have fun, and raise funds for our students.
From amazing auction items to experiences and opportunities, there are plenty of ways to participate while helping us reach our fundraising goals!
💙 Benefit Fundraiser
Our Benefit Fundraiser is another important opportunity to bring our community together in support of Montevideo.
It's a chance for families, friends, and community members to learn more about what the Mustang Fund makes possible and help us continue providing valuable resources for our students.
🐴 Every Fundraiser Plays a Part
You don't have to participate in every fundraiser to make a difference.
Maybe you make a registration donation.
Maybe your family participates in the Tiki Trot.
Maybe you grab a Wednesday treat each week.
Maybe you join us for a Dine-Out Night or attend the Auction.
